THE BIG OOPS !
The single draw back of AM and FM Radio IBOC is that
for now it is a US "Only" Broadcasting System and any
Radios built for it will have a limited market potential.
but, But. BUT ! - Should other Nations get on the AM
and FM "HD" IBOC Broadcasting Band Wagon it will
become a World Wide Broadcasting Standard.

Sorry, but all HD radios are required to be AM and FM.

Most of the rest of the world has already chosen Eureka 147 and/or
DRM.

No, it has not. I have not checked, but I do not think any country has
chosed DRM.

- Brazil has chosen HD, as has Philippines. Colombia, Mexico
- and Central America are apparently going with HD.

DE - By "HD" do you mean specifically HD {IBOC} Radio
from iBiquity ? => http://www.ibiquity.com/hd_radio

Why spen $200 for a radio that has a few extra channels when you can
get a satellite radio with 150 channels for half the price?

Satellite requires a $150 a year subscription, while HD is free. And the
receivers will be under $100 fairly soon... probably within a year to 18
months, just like other roll outs.

LA now has 10 additional HD channels running, with another 15 coming... at
least. Add that to 87 other free signals, most of which will be in HD also.
