Symbols Like Words Have Meaning - Think About It ~ RHF

The WORDS of the Constitution are the LAW, and have far more meaning
and potential than the biggest banner on earth. They are not just a
symbol, they are a written, legally binding and recognized record of
the mutually agreed-upon law of the land. Even then, if they burn, the
law does not disappear until the people of the nation say so. If every
scrap of parchment burns, the law remains intact and endures. So, quit
being so disingenuous - it does neither you nor anyone else any good.

I feel very sorry for people who place the symbol of freedom higher
than the freedom it represents. I would never burn the flag - it is
too dear a symbol, after all - but the legal right to burn it is what
makes it the symbol that it is. Without that right, it is merely a
garish piece of cloth, a paper tiger.
