As with the Nigerian scams someone must respond to schemes like this
for these guys to continue pitching them. Greed can indeed make some
of us blind to the facts.

Actually a whole country was overtaken by a pyramid scheme that was
sanctioned by the government. The residents of poor little Bulgaria in
the 1990's were completely taken in by a pyramid scheme that was
doctored up as investments with impossibly high returns. It was crowd
mania on a level comparable to that seen with Dutch Tulips, Dot Com
Stocks and Lousiana Land.
