External antenna for BC 95 XLT


- have been having success with this receiver, following NYC Police
activities on Halloween,

( Bring five sets of handcuffs)

tugboats in NY Harbor, hams, Weather, etc.

is it worth while to get a Rat Shack center loaded telescoping
antenna;

- which I've heard are F R A G I L E . .

or would a right angle BNC connector

( Rat Shack Model: 278-126 | Catalog #: 278-126 )

with ~ 5 feet of wire & an alligator clip suffice?
