From what I understand they are nice scanners, a friend of mine had one
and he seemed to like it.
However if you need trunking or digital reception (APCO25), these scanners
will not do either.
You'd need to get a Uniden,Radio Shack, or the new GRE scanners.

Or run the free program TrunkPCR on a PC with the Icoms.
