and here, you fail to see the point.
ham radio was never a right, period. it is subject to government regulation
and government license and the FCC reserves the right to revoke or modify
said license of any licensee at any time and for any reason.

I agreed to those terms when I signed on the dotted line to get my ticket.

if you don't like it, they get the rule changed. its that simple. petition a
notice of rule making before the fcc and go through the system. if you
choose to work outside of that system, it will run you down without even so
much as a seconds thought.

The civil rights we have in the US are not abridged or abrigated in any way
otherwise. However, being a licensee means you are held to a "higher
standard" of conduct, behavior and speech. Thus, if you violate the rules
of conduct for amateur radio, then you have to go through that system (this
means the fcc can issue a warning, failure to heed results in a notice of
apparent liability <potential fine>, after which, you can file an appeal,
etc etc....).

Since Mr. baxter has chosen to exercise his rights in the court of public
opinion, instead of abiding the rules and adhering to the proceedure to
have his case heard, he has effectively granted the fcc their case.

again, you don't like it, GET THE RULES CHANGED.

that is all there is to it.
