Well hello Bob. It's been years. It's "Doc" AF2Y. On a search engine I typed
in, "the anatomical configuration of prolapsed hemorrhoids" and up came a
reference to rec.radio.amateur.misc. So I sat here for a while trying to
figure out how that search led me to this newsgroup and the only reason I
could figure out was that the search engine thought "rec" was short for
"rectum."

At any rate, as I peeked at what's going on in our hobby, I saw the subject
"Open Letter to K1MAN" penned by W4ASX, Bob Sherin; I became curious as to
the meaning of the whole thing and decided to delve a bit. So I typed in the
Search Engine, K1MAN, came up with a gent named Glenn Baxter, began reading
the various references and was astounded by all the material. In 2000, after
moving to this condo and encountering all the caveats and caviars and meat
loaves, I decided to wait a bit for hamming until I move again, preferably
to either Las Vegas or Las Vegas (my favorite city in this country) but
that's still in the offing.

If I remember corrrectly, when I shut down in Sept.2000, there was no real
war between K1MAN and the FCC. It all had something to do with his operating
a competitve organization to the ARRL's and that some hams were complaining
about his program interfering with ongoing QSOs and stuff like that. Who
would ever believe that everything would coalesce into an atomic bomb? Now
it seems Hiroshima is being relived thru a $21,000 fine levied, Rich Whiten
becoming involved, the late Walter Cronkite being involved; your
involvement; threatened law suits, actual litigation and all that jazz. I
swear,all the events that unfolded and are in the process of unfolding read
like the Dan Brown novel "Angels and Demons."

By the way, in my storage room I came across a boatlaod of tapes from the
BARF days. I must say that a lot of stuff said was tragic but when I heard
"The Mike and Judy Shows" featuring "Raincoat Charlie" as guest, although
"Mooj" took his
hatred seriously, it's still the funniest stuff ever heard on ham radio.

Your running of my pieces is a fraud upon your listeners on account of
misplaced context. Please cease and desist further.

Done over 20 years ago, running them as current taints me accordingly
as a fraud. This is formal, written demand for proper retraction.
Or, in the alternative, run the risk of a defamation suit.
