I doubt anyone here would bid, since known working ones go for about $150+/-.

I am puzzled by your warning. The pictures are clear and sharp. The
modifications are shown clearly in the extra pictures.
They guy says: "Give a tune-up and some TLC, and it should be ready to go."
.... *SHOULD* is not is!
He says it belonged to his father, and was known to work 40 years ago.
He doesn't say it was unmodified. He doesn't say it works. Actually,
he says: "...I've plugged it in and turned it on with nothing happening."
I don't see anything dishonest about the listing. If it is priced too
high for you, don't bid.
