Thank you. It's one of my all time favourite work arounds.

Can anyone advise please. I have a new DAB tuner which works fine except the
digital signal is not very strong around here. I am getting some 'popping'
sounds as a result. The Bit Error Rate is about 0.04, less than the critical
0.05, but not brilliant. The indoor ariel supplied is 6 inches long. I have
tried moving the indoor aerial around within the range of its cable with no
real improvement.
Is there anyway of improving reception without installing an external
aerial?
Thanks
KK
You could try sticking a bit of aluminium (aluminum) foil to the card from a cereal packet. Fold the cardboard to form a right angle and stand it with the folded edge vertical near to the antenna to form a reflector. Adjust for best signal strength. For a 6 inch antenna, the card only needs to be the size of an A4 *** of paper, around 8 inches by 12 inches. Fold in half so that you have two surfaces at 90 degrees to each other, 8 inches by 6 inches.

If this doesn't work, you need a bigger antenna.

I saw this post this afternoon and tried it at the office. Works great, I can get into the free wifi from the airport. I just taped a piece of aluminum foil to the wall in a corner and set my USB wifi transceiver in front of it. Took about 5 minutes to rig up. Unfortunately I can only use it in the evenings as there is too much ground traffic between my location and the WIFI source the rest of the day.
