materials formula sticking my mind is Stress=Pressure/Area.

Since Einstein went to his grave trying to prove that natures

Hi Art,

Considering that all electricity is produced by essentially mechanical methods e.g. the mechanical movement of a coil through a magnetic field (or vice versa) or by static friction or by chemical processes or by photoelectric processes, I would say that it is implicit that electricity and therefore all subsequent electrical phenomena are subject to mechanical laws.

It is also the case that certain electrical phenomena take place at scales where quantum physics rules the roost and therefore are incapable of being completely understood at our present level of scientific understanding.

Recently published research appears to indicate that there is a deeper level of theory that could be fully deterministic. A search at www.arxiv.org/abs/quant-ph/ should reveal a host of material on this subject.

So it looks like that was another prediction Einstein got right after all.
