From what I've seen, Shimizu was right.... it's difficult in practice
to get a tight pattern with these ball shells above 24" diameter.
It's also too bad that the camera was so far away from the firing
site.  The burst diameter is 1,800' but it's hard to gain perspective
from a video.
 It would have been nice to be right under this one when it broke!

With Uncle Buck building a 24" shell using 3" pressed comets for stars
makes me think.
That is one nice looking shell.
