What is your major malfunction, numbnuts? Didn't Mommy and Daddy show you
enough attention when you were a child?
Stop Bashing Harry on every single post.

This link pretty well tells the story of "why":
http://www.cnn.com/2007/TECH/11/29/fbi.botnets/index.html
Just received my "Norton Internet Security 2008" disk. It's athorized
for the protection of 3 computers in a home, and costs roughly $60.
I've been using the same line of products for the past 3 years, and
since their installation, I've been free from viruses and none of my
computer is a "botnet" zombie.
Readers of rec.pyrotechnics have experienced what a botnet can do in
the way of a denial of services attack, so it is a serious problem.
Unfortunately, attacks like this will be possible until the perps are
captured and convicted, because so many computers remain unprotected
from becoming active participants in the crime.
I'm not paid to promote Norton products, but for me they work very
well, are updated automatically nearly daily, and do a good job of
periodically "scrubbing" your computer. Freeware, by contrast, is
totally ineffective. You get what you pay for!
Something to think about.
