Lloyd,
I'm still having problems with my mill. It's 6 inch dia & I think the media
is too large. I'm thinking of mixing half inch dia lead media in with the
1.5 inch thats already in it.
What size and how much media tdo you recommend for a 1 gal 6 inch dia jar?
The results of a sample (after 4 hours milling) 2 grams move a gold ball 3
feet. I've done a lot better in a hobby tumbler.

Just noted in passing. I KNOW NOTHING OF THIS SELLER. You are on your
own.
Don,
A post by Darwin on milling time mentions golf balls.
Lloyd S. commented on it.
I made my first lift powder over the weekend and was going to get a
handful of balls to take to work and see if I could test it.
I work with a pipe supply outfit and I'm sure we carry something in
that size.
Actually, something a little oversize to start.
I think 2" XH seamless might work.
That guy on ebay puts some metal on his!
Dan
Thinwall tubing is fine for the tiny lift amounts you'll use.
I said "1-3/8" tubing in one of my prior posts, but you need something
roughly 1.7" i.d., so I'm thinking that's 2" tailpipe stock.
