Bring this back to the top. I can't believe with all of the talent

the ability I would devote some effort into doing this.
We can put a rocket on the moon, and make noise as loud as thunder,
yet we cannot stop THIS?

Can't say that I didn't warn you guys about this possibility, but I
was shouted down in telling you what the facts were...so go pout about
it. Now, if anyone is seriously interested in a discourse on
pyrotechnics, let them now speak or forever keep quiet.
Sadly, the spambot will go on doing its thing to this newsgroup until
the spambot is shut down (which takes an expert hacker to do), or else
the newsgroup will simply become history. Evidently, Google has given
up on this newsgroup, although on Usenet it may continue to exist
until the powers that be will wipe it from existance.
I'm really surprised that anyone would take this newsgroup so
seriously, as to make an effort to cause it to be shut down. Still,
sociopaths exist, and some know how to both use and abuse the
internet. Why they would have a specific grudge against
rec.pyrotechnics is anyone's guess.

Mike, when someone dedicates their effort to using an entire army of
worm infested zombie computers, which this now seems to be, the posts
will appear to be coming in from may diversified sources making use of
slave computers on the net whose owners were too cheap to invest in a
network security package like Norton. (The vast majority of the free
anti-virus programs cannot provide this protection.) Hackers often
exploit worms introduced into the network by people more clever than
themselves, and dear old Aunt Grace (whose computer is network
connected) never realizes what her machine is doing when it is
obediently posting this crap.
It is not a trivial problem to resolve, and the simple fact is that
the Internet in total is today very vulnerable to this type of attack,
simply because at the time of its creation no one ever imagined that
worthless, insane, mentally ill and socioupathic individuals would
ever sink to this depth. I understand that some individuals are
reasonably bright, but still mentally ill. What puzzles me is what
caused such a distorted mind to focus their attention on this
particular newsgroup.
Just a suggestion, but there are very few significant posts to the
nesgroup sci.energy.hydrogen. Consider posting all pyrotechnics
related posts there. Lots of strange people post there, so posts on
pyrotechnics would largely go un-noticed.
