Let's not knock the midwest. Chicago's Chinatown is quite the treat.
Like you said be careful when ordering. I had taken a Russian lady
friend there for dinner and she ordered chicken feet, thinking they
were chicken legs. What was served was the feet with claws attached.
Somewhat crunchy and not much meat. Those Chinese don't waste any
body parts.
