Great job Lloyd , but one thing
On the square holeshot you can't turn it after pressing . It destroys the
comet .
What we did was remove the pin and drill a hole through the whole deal for a
small cotter pin . Use the same process as you but just pull the pin and
push it out .

Hi All.
I just got my cavity pump from Wolter.
Is there anyplace that can give me step by step instructions with pics
jopefully to help me make things correctly??
I did talk to rich, and gave me a general idea on what to do...but
would like more detailed instructions..
How about simple step-by-step. Pictures aren't necessary, unless you have
weird mould.tube
Place the plunger in the tube with the 'stop' pin about twice as far from
the upper (handle) end of the tube as the distance from the end of the
to the bottom of the gauge slot. I.E. -- if the crossette is designed toof
be, say, 1" long, hold the plunger up about 2" from the _beginning_ (top)
the slot.firm
Hold the parts in that position with one hand, and lower the tube and
plunger open-end down into your bucket of moistened comp. With the other
hand, gently stuff comp up into the open end until you have a uniformly
(but not tight) fill all the way to the mouth of the tube. Trim up thecomp
extending past the mouth until it's flush with the mouth of the tube, soyou
don't make a mess.comp
Place the filled tube open end down on a clean, flat "pressing plate".
Using an arbor press or even a mallet, force the plunger down until the
is as hard as you desire, but MAKE ABSOLUTELY SURE that the plunger stopscrossette
before the stop pin impinges on the top end of the tube. When the
is pressed hard, the pin should stop, say, 1/4" short of hitting the tube.'ejection
Now, remove the mould from the plate, and by hand or on a special
plate' (just a plate with a hole sized so the tube sits on top, but thetry
comet will fit through the hole) press the plunger until the stop pin just
kisses the top end of the tube.
Hold the whole affair open-end up, and trim the excess comp you've just
pressed past the end of the tube (use a straight-bladed knife, and don't
to chop the whole chunk off at once... TRIM it away).by
Once the end of the comp is trimmed (again) flush with the open end of the
tube, turn the plunger until the pin lines up with the gauge slot. Again
hand or on your ejection plate, press the crossette out of the tube untilround,
the pin just kisses the bottom of the gauge slot.
Now the process may vary, depending upon your cavity shape. If it's
gently twist the crossette off the pin. If it's square or cruciform, you'll
have to pull it straight away without twisting.
Dat's it. I've done tens of thousands of them.
LLoyd
