Re: How you never want to see yourself on TV

besides the jump suit, it sounded like something you would try for
kicks :)

I always make sure to wear my nylon jumpsuit on the hottest, dryest day of

chlorate and sulphur together. Oh, and to test my comp, I pour out about 1/2
pound of this mixture onto the workbench and stick my lit cigarette into the
pile, which BTW, I've been smoking the whole time. Also, since my shed is
dark, I use a graffenburg generator to provide light whilst I work on my
stuff. Did I mention my I.Q. is about 60 and I make sure I drink 1/2 keg of
beer before I attempt all this?

Such occurrences are not confined to amateurs.

I'm aware of a case in which the manager of US imports for a well known
foreign
fireworks company gave a product demonstration to customers on the grounds
where
his employer's magazines were. The magazines were the usual trailers.

Someone didn't bother to close the doors on one of the trailers, and to
make a
long story short, a spark got inside and the entire inventory was
destroyed.

some guy in my neck of the woods, had a garage with fireworks in it,
when he was lighting them off on the 4th, one shot into the garage
setting them all off .it burnt down his house his cars and his
neighbors house.
he went to jail , and the insurance didn't cover anything because it is
illegal to have fireworks.

I forgot to ask in the original post... LadyKate, do you happen to
know
this fellow ? He's in your town, I believe ?

He is indeed. However, we're a fairly big town even though outsiders
don't think of the area as very developed. This person's house used to
be a couple of miles from me but we've never met. It sounds like he
had some serious stuff in that garage.

We have lots of accidents out here - shame to say. On the fourth, you
can watch large shells come up out of housing developments and break
over the schools. Last fourth an idiot fired a six incher in his
backyard, it flooped into his pool and exploded. Put a kid in the
hospital. In January, a guy pulled an M100 off his kitchen shelf while
he was smoking and it went off - took several fingers from both
hands(?). He is now making rounds to the schools showing off his stumps
and telling the kids to be careful. And on it goes...

Lots of bad hobbyists here - collecting guns and survival rations is
one of our tamer pursuits.
