Re: A bit off topic....tesla coils

I would venture to guess what created idiots like those you describe was the
decade of the 60's , after the 60's schools didn't teach children how to
look at those things around them, logically deduce what systems they were
witnessing and make sound judgments on the material at hand.

It seems that in the early to mid 70's it became much more important to our
enlightened social minders (the 60's retread burnouts from academia) that it
was much more important to make sure the children felt good about
themselves, gee whiz get a life, it's rough out here if you don't arm you
kids with knowledge, then you might as well not have them.

Hell when I was a kid and we got bored we used to ..... read books ....
there I said it, I know in this day and age it's not politically correct to
try and expand your knowledge, your supposed to just go with the herd, (hey
wasn't that the mantra of those retreads from the 60's??), anyway I digress,
then when we had scrapped up some money by doing some odd jobs, oops another
bad term in the nanny socialist welfare state we live in, then we would go
to the pharmacy and buy some chemicals to play around with, yeah we called
them experiments, but that was when we had to explain to the folks what we
were up to. After working out all the cool things you could do with simple
mixtures involving Pot. Nit. we moved on to the chem. labs at school, wow
baby the chem. labs back then in the public schools actually had chemicals
that were worth getting excited about, I suppose with the climate now days
the best reaction one can hope for is peroxide and soda at the public
schools, so sad for those little minds of mush, they will never have the
spark ignited in their brains (yeah the pun was intended)

Oh well I'm ranting and raving, but what the h*ll sometimes it seems ya just
got to vent, and from lurking and reading some of your posts Harry I guess
you could appreciate that too.

George, it evidently ended in the age of computer games, Playboy, and
X-Boxes.

What else is there to say, unless you want to resort to drug induces
fetus problems or bad genes.

We have evidently and successfuly elimated the majority of offspring
from the upper and middle classes from even competing, as is evidenced
from the news videos showing these contempary idiot fighting each other
using chairs and fluorcent tubes as fighting weapons. I suppost that
some of these retards have never learned (not surprisingly) that
fluouescent tubes contain both toxic phosphors and mercury which in the
open cuts shown in the news can make them 'mad as hatters'.

The thing that I question is what created idiot like these, bad genes,
drugs ingested by their parents, ridiculous educations, or simple
stupidity?
