Grind it dry. Be sure your KNO3 is dry by heating on a cookie *** in a 200 deg. F. oven for a couple of hours, stirring every half hour, then allow to cool before adding to your mill. Wet "solutions" in a ball mill will only end up caking the balls and the inside of the jar. Once you are done milling you can then dampen the mill dust slightly in order to keep the dust down while loading into the pressing die but even then dampening is not necessary to making a rock hard puck of powder.

Do folks see ball mills cranking on BP detonate on a regular basis? Do most folks use a 6% wet solution, or grind it dry?
