Welp..
Finally got my first batch of eggs done. It was a very small batch..prob about 2 tablespoons worth of wet mix.
First off, I added to much laquer...was a soupy sludge..kinda messy. Second, I did not thin it out with acetone ...now I gotta somehow clean out my 8 mesh screen..its rock solid. I think I will thin out the laquer on my next test batch.
I used a 81.8/9.1/9.1 Trioxide recipe.
Well..since it was soupy, I had to wait awhile befire it started to thicken up, thats when I pushed it thru the screen...eww..messy.
I tried a few wet samples...they went pop...was amzuing, but the finaly product was very hard to light. Methinks this is because of the non-thinned laquer and using way to much of the stuff.
I'll try another batch tonight and hope for the best....
Gonna try a 75/15/10 recipe this time to see what diff it makes.

I wouldn't try putting it through a screen. It's a little hassle cutting them because they're so small, but actually easier than cutting larger stars for me. Just make a very thin cake and cut into small cubes with a thin knife edge like a safety razor blade or X-acto knife.
