It seems from the way the PML is set up subscribers aren't subject to as
much UIO "useless information overload" as compared to rec.pyro. The PML is
especially convenient for people that don't have the extra time available to
sift it all through. While information on Italian shells is usually
forthcoming in rec.pyro
There has been a dramatic drop off on posting the results from experimenters
testing the published formulas.
Since Italian effects have been the main domestic focus. What's still needed
is a definitive text that describes all the variations seen in oriental
Kamuros, Brocades, Diadems, Cascades etc. including photographs so the
reader isn't left guessing. As seen from the recent Nishiki Brocade fiasco
it's obvious persons you would think knowledgeable about such effects are in
fact themselves still guessing.
