Setting pants on fire the Thai way

Since we've been getting some kewl posts lately:

If you rent the DVD of "Ong Bak, the Thai Warrior" and watch the
behind-the-scenes extras, you will see an amusing example of Not
Planning In Advance.

Tony Jaa, the lead, is supposed to jump through flames, come out with
his pants on fire, and kick *** on a henchman.

So we see him standing there as the crew sets his pants on fire (he is
obviously wearing Nomex beneath) and he does the fight scene perfectly.
In fact, he kicks the stunt man in the head so nicely that the stunt
man's head is briefly aflame. The director and crew are laughing about
this. This is Thailand.

In the meantime, Tony is standing there, his legs still on fire. No
one has thought about actually putting out the fire. Even through the
Nomex he's starting to burn. There is no fire extinguisher handy, not
even a hose. Tony finally freaks, starts to run, looking for water. A
couple of the crew have to tackle him and put out the fire with their
jackets.

It's truly an amazing example of poor planning. Fortunately, he does
not appear badly hurt.

Cool movie though, if you are into brutal fight scenes. Watch the
dubbed version; the Thai language sounds a bit grating on Western ears.
