Swamped? If you think three messages in two days is "swamped", I
invite you to take a look at soc.culture.usa where the level of
irrelevant dross is so high that I doubt anyone interested in US
culture bothers to go there after looking at it once.

(soc.culture.uk looks equally bad but is only available as an archive
on Google groups, so presumably no longer active).
