It's comes as no surprise that you take a crossword thread and turn it into a thread about your own prejudices. What I would expect, however, is that if new groups are added to the posting then an NB is added to make it clear that that has been done.

It is entirely appropriate in this case. The topic of you cross-posting to rec.puzzles.crosswords and of you posting off-topic material to this group is no business of rec.music.classical
