Their phobile mone service seems to be free, and says it will
work for PDAs with an internet connection. Has anyone tried it on a
Windows Mobile PDA rather than a phone? I had a WiFi card for my PDA
which was stolen, but haven't got around to installing it in my new one
yet.
As someone who's never had a mobile phone and refuses to buy one until they
charge the same for calls as landlines like in the States, that entire
paragraph is gobbledegook to me. As recently as a couple of years ago I was
in court in High Wycombe with my solicitor and on the way out asked if I
could make a quick call to someone on his mobile. I said he'd have to dial
it though because I didn't know how to work them. "What's the code then
first?", he asked. I said it was a Wycombe number so he didn't need one and
started to tell him the number. He looked at me like I was a retard and
explained very sarcastically that mobile phones always need a code. Yes I
really was that thick.
I can actually work one now, mainly because a friend left an old pay as you
go one in my car with £1.50 left on the card in case I break down somewhere
and forced me to pay attention while he showed me what the buttons did. My
car never breaks down though so I can't see it being of much use. I used it
once just to prove I could but have no idea what its number is so no one can
call me on it anyway. I guess I could call my house on it and then dial
1471. I very much doubt if it has a WiFi card in its PDA though and have no
idea how that would improve it.

The internet. It's not a big truck.
It's a series of tubes.
