I think the "it's a mystery" is telling us it's a cryptic clue of some
type. So if it were posed as a crossword clue, such as:
Q: "INLAND EMPIRE is about a woman in trouble"
what would the answer be? I've worked one out, but I'd like to see if it's
apparent to anyone else!
any thoughts on the wordplay etc?

That's a good one. Let's see if the name turns out to be the name of the
