They will most likely burn up in midday sun from my experience with
hostas. I have 6 varieties and none like full sun. They can take 4
hours morning or late afternoon sun though, if kept moist.
May I suggest some other plants that love sun and look great? Catmint
will bloom from May to August with great foilage and blue flowers.
Jolly Bee Cranesbill also blooms all summer- like an annual and will
spread about 4 feet. Both start to grow early in spring.
Some creeping junipers would look nice. The blue varieties are
especially pretty. Pair this with some wave petunias.
Perrenial varigated vinca vines- pair these with annuals.
