Go back and look at the 20D fiasco. They did exactly the same thing as
these reports claim.
I had 2 of them at the time and one was so bad, Canon replaced it!.

That was crazy! You never heard of Nikon doing this underhanded crap.

Not a single word of admission from them then. You sure won't get any
where their flagship camera is involved.

It's kinda like OJ Simpson admitting guilt.

Of course there issue is not wide spread at this point. It could be
just a few from a batch but anyone contemplating a technologically
advanced product newly released on the market, should expect this sort
of thing. They fixed the lens hang ups and banding issue in the 20D
with a firmware upgrade - several in fact. I imagine in time, they'll
either recall the cameras (highly unlikely) or quietly announce a
firmware update to "address some minor issues". DP review usually
publish such notices.

OH PLEASE!!! We don't want to see another endless batch of firmware
upgrades on the Mk III. It's wide spread since production has halted.

Please prove production has halted. Otherwise the world may see you for the
Nikon fanboy/Canon basher that you are.
