I would get the Canon 1.4, but I wouldn't get the 2.0. I have the older
versions of both, and I rarely use the 2.0 because of quality issues. Here's

For your f4, to lose two stops of light and also compromise with a big
sacrifice in image quality, is not worth it. I haven't been happy with
quality when stacking teleconverters. Instead of putting money into the 2.0,
you might check out a 12mm extension tube to allow closer focus.
