Yes. Spanish is phonetic, and English is not. Even I have no trouble pronouncing Spanish, and I don't speak it at all. Once you learn how to pronounce the vowels, you are home free. But english pronunciation varies from place to place, as well as from word to word, with no apparent rhyme or reason behind it. - I am reminded of "Gough" Street in San Francisco. Some pronounce it to rhyme with "plough", and some to rhyme with "trough", and one guy I know pronounces it to rhyme with "through" .....


It's correctly pronounced, "Goff."
