Took out my old Mamiya-Secor DTL and Canon A-1. Ran a roll of film
through each, both still work great, but each could use new light seals
and a good CLA.
Local shops (Buffalo, NY) want $120-$150 for that. Is that the going
rate or are there better repair deals on the Web? (For $120, I could
buy a CLA'd camera and lens with warranty on eBay.)
Also discovered that camera shops only carry consumer grade film such
as Kodacolor Gold. Couldn't find Kodak UC or Fuji Velvia. Where is
a good place to Web shop for better film?
Finally, where to go for processing? Years ago I used Kodak in nearby
Rochester and Mystic Film in Connecticut. What's good now?
