I would say you need to do a lot more reading, you might start here
http://www.usatoday.com/money/media/2005-05-17-digital-cinema-usat_x.htm
The cost of prints is consitered a very big deal.

USA Today? A PR piece with Lucas and Sony, the only two companies I mentioned that are pushing this? I bet you think Fox News is Fair & Balanced.

If you had a clue, you would be on the SCRI subscriber list. Then you could read the real numbers, real reports, and the health (or lack) of the industry. If you are too lazy, or too cheap, then you are full of *** . . . USA Today . . . Please . . . what a f*(%ing joke. I cannot even be nice to you on that one.

Weird interpretation you have taken with your overzealous attitude. If
film images are on PBase, then they were scanned. You make it sound like
it is impossible to get good looking images from film, which is far from
the truth. In fact, I have seen more bad images in the last four years
just because people can now generate more crap with digital capture.
Funny that the best looking image I have seen from Brett was taken using
film . . . maybe he was so worried about the film cost that he actually
stopped and thought prior to pressing the shutter button.

You keep saying this but there is no evidence to back it up. Look at
PBase and try to
tell me that the composition of the film images is better done then the
in the digital ones.

I will tell you that 98% of the images on PBase are total crap done mostly by hacks, amateurs and wannabes. You have no f*(%ing clue about photography if you think the gear is responsible for the quality of the image. I just sold a f*(%ing Polaroid manipulation at an exhibit . . . pretty much the bottom of technology.

You know what . . . F*(% your evidence . . shove it up your ass. You are getting to be a very annoying troll. You have zero photographic ability beyond operating your D-SLR. Even Brett has more photographic ability than you have shown, and anyone here would know that means a hell of a lot coming from me.

I believe it is possible to get good looking images from 35mm, I would
like to think I have even done it from time to time. But most peoples
workflow is such that the odds are against them and that was my main
point. The people who simply drop off a role of film at a mini-lab
will not get any kind of consistent prints. On the other hand people
who drop off their digital image at the mini-lab will have much better
luck.

Whatever Scott. Enjoy yourself on your little island.

Ciao!
