Exactly. Serious stuff shoot RAW, if you're playing around shoot JPEG
or that tri-acetate stuff that almost everyone says is dying.

If the 5D has the same "problems" as the 20D you might be better off
waiting a few more months, i.e. let someone else be the beta tester for
the first 5,000 production units.
The other real concern I have with the 5D or its near successor; when
does the optical quality of the lens become the limiting factor in
resolution, when do the lenses come with a label "the optical limit of
this lens is X MP in a FF camera"?
Wider or longer; next lens for me will be a very wide zoom or a very
long prime, we'll see which wins or which I think will pay for itself
first.
