Hey, anything is possible. I have thousands of negs from as little as 20
years ago that are useless due to fading. Some chromes I've stored properly
have a distinct purple tinge, and they shouldn't. Honestly, I know what
you're saying, but I have no reason to believe that today's CDs will
deteriorate any faster than film when stored properly. And I usually keep at
least one backup, as well.

I suppose I'd feel a lot better about film if I hadn't lost so much of it
over the years. Damage from humidity, moisture, heat, etc will always cause
problems. And it's impossible to make a perfect duplicate of film, as well.
With digital, I can choose as many of few images I want and ship them to one
of the on-lne archivers, if I want.

Anyway, if shooting film is your preference, more power to you. Ya pays ya
money, ya takes ya chances...
