Shrug. Canon's one of the big players and their software is going to
be less crappy than some others.

I plan to use CHDK with this camera and do some lengthy
time-lapse sequences. Instead of buying the AC adapter, I
would like to build an external battery pack (two C or D
cells), and plug that into the DC-In jack where the adapter
would normally plug in. But I would need the right
connector to do that. From what I can find, it appears to
be an EIAJ-01 connector, 2.35 X 0.7 mm. This connector used
to be R/S item 274-1531, but alas, no longer. Does anyone
know where I can get one of these connectors?

You can buy the AC adapter and just cut off the brick. :-)


The size of the plug is determined by polarity and to some extent voltage. You should be able to get the plug from Radio Shack. Take the camera and they can figure out the polarity. On the A95 it's center +ve, I imagine yours would be same.
