To reach high pixel counts with less noise, FF is the way to go. For
that matter, when used prices are in line I'll get a back for my
Hasselblad...
By the time the Hasselblad backs come down to a reasonable price, the
16x22mm sensor DSLRs will surpass them in performance... maybe already
have.
Except when you consider that 'noise' thing.
You might well be right... should be that way, but I haven't looked up
comparisons, and speculate that older Hasselblad digital back
performance will be surpassed by the smaller sensors, and may already
have by (say) the new Canon 50D.
The 50D has 15 million very efficient pixels -- compared to 16 meg
tired old pixels in the Kodak DCS Pro Digital Back, or 12 meg in the
Leaf Scitex DCB-1 for the 'Blad.
