This is true. Many see the US government and the people as two entities. Americans as individuals are usually given the benefit of the doubt for the first 30 seconds.

Perhaps by you, and many here, and the same holds true for many US citizens' acceptance of individuals from nations where their gov't is rotten, or incompetent, or based on a system the free world can't abide.

Nevertheless, Doug's rant was a general attack on citizens in the US,
