In general though, at 19x13", there's no significant difference, D300/5d.

You _might_ see a sharpness difference (in favor of FF) at f/2.8 or wider
for low light work with fast lenses. Maybe.

Edge performance at ultra-wide (< 20mm) f/l is IMO an overrated thing.
Composition usually means that the 4 corners are at vastly different focus
distances - way outside even the huge DOF stopped down. "Normal" wide
angle (say ~ 28mm+ ) edge performance can be more critical. YMMV.

My mileage does vary. I do landscapey things at f/16, and at 20mm and less
everything from 0.5 m to infinity is sharp (manual focus at 1m). That
includes the corners. Or should. Sigh.

Canon needs better superwides if they want to sell me a 5DII.

The 24TSE is becoming my most used lens. Sharp across the field and some
amount of shift and tilt.

(Try the Sigma 10-20 at f/11 at 13mm or wider on the D300; manually focus at
1m. Stuff in the lower corners at your feet should be reasonably sharp.)
