What would you do?

1 - Tidy up, backup, and ensure the disks are defragged regularly (we have
found MST Defrag works very well in the background with not noticeable
performance impact). That might make your existing PC more usbale and
perhaps a little faster.

2 - Buy/build a more modern PC with a 64-bit Intel processor, 4-8GB of
memory, and 64-bit Vista, in the January Sales, keeping your existing PC
and peripherals accessible over the network until they can be replaced.
