Could somebody please tell me how to burn a cd by having the picturesYou cannot.
sorted by date instead of alphabetically using Windows XP and My
Pictures folder.

However, when you are getting a list of files on the CD, with Windows
Explorer for instance, you can instruct the program to present the list as
you wish. All you do is click on the column whose order you wish to
specify.
For instance, to sort by date, click on the date column.
To sort by size, click on the size column.
To sort by file name (the default), click on the file column.
And, you can get Explorer to sort in either ascending or descending order.
But, there is no way to control the order in which the files get stored.
Finding out which order the files actually reside on the disk requires a
program with much more capability than Explorer.

Sigh, why do people who know nothing always feel the need to reply?
Just use any batch file renaming utility which allows you to use the EXIF data
to rename all your files by date and time taken, with the new date and time
filenames in the format of "year-month-day-time". Then every computer's and
viewing program's default descending alpha-sort will read and display those
files in that order.
There are literally dozens if not hundreds of freeware utilities designed to do
just this. Including renaming MP3 files by their MP3 header data for music
collectors. Same thing. Most of these utilities are designed for audio and image
files so they do both. Do a search on-line for any freeware or shareware
providers and start hunting. If you don't run into a program that will do this
for you within 5 minutes I will be amazed, unless you are cheating and trying to
do it with your eyes closed. Even the software that comes bundled with most
cameras will automatically rename your files by date and time for you.
