10 cents to 25 cents for 4x6 prints isn't bad, but any bigger
sizes (5x7, 8x10) and the price skyrockets.
A 50 cent CD will hold 600+ images at 1 Meg each (2048x1536)
Why not make backups and dupes on CD and hand them out to
family and friends?

Overall, the display on my monitor is much better than a print, and the size is controllable from postage stamp size, up to billboard size (with scrolling). I much prefer seeing my pictures on the monitor than to looking at 4x6 prints, but the prints are a bit easier to carry around, even given the convenience of a laptop.
