That was a statement of fact..

Hidden under a triple-scoop of condescending attitude (as previously
mentioned).

All it says is that apple could sell anything, even a pc, to their buyers
(well to Randall actually) if they wanted too.

And this is a compliment aimed at Randall, right?

No, its simply more of your bigotry.

At absolute best, it is at least a highly condescending "looking down
the nose" attitude...

The only thing *you* have demonstrated is that you may have a mental problem
and feel the need to defend something that isn't being attacked in the first
place.

No, this was merely documenting where *you* took your first (of many)
shots in this thread.

They each typically contained some degree of truth, but were hardly
holistic and objective, to make an actually credible case.

For example, on the whole "secure system" nonsense, please explain to
us all exactly how an "Average User" in OS X who needs system Root
authority to perform some task would go about gaining Root.

Assume:
System is running OS X, version 10.4.x, updated to the latest
revision (10.4.9)
Ssystem is otherwise in the out-of-the-box configuration
User account was created in the standard fashion (eg, System
Preferences - Accounts - Add)
User account was granted 'Admin' priveleges in the standard fashion
(eg, System Preferences)

True or false:
- when User tries to perform the task that requires root authority,
the system prompts him for the root password, so he types it in and
off it goes.

In the past, you've suggested that the answer to the above is "True".
Is that your final answer?
