Hi Every one,
I have purchased a new SD1000 Camera, Canon Says its SDHC card
compliant. But has any one used the new card on this camera and does
it really work. If so, which brands work well on this camera.

Thanks in advance.

Regards

I just got the Canon SD1000 as a gift over the weekend,
and they also gave me a SanDisk 2GB standard card.
I'm thinking of turning that back and getting the 2GB Ultra.
BTW - I posted a couple of questions just recently about SD card speeds...

Thanks Schuman for your reply I am not looking for speed of writing
for this camera yet but for capacity, there is a new format of SD
called SDHC that SD1000 is compliant but I have read some where else
that not all SDHC cards compatible with this model. So was looking for
specific brands that might work with this particular model.

ahh - got it -
BTW - after reading around the web,
I believe the SDHC reflects flash card sizes greater than 2GB...
ie - the old FAT16 formatting limit of 2GB for DOS is used,
and then the FAT32 format is used to handle sizes above 2GB.
So - the SDHC is FAT32 format,
and of course the camera must be able to handle this format.
