I need to replace my Canon S820D. I've been happy with its speed,

I do about 60% graphics, 40% glossy photos, not a lot of either.
Top candidates are Epson R380 and Canon iP6700D or MP units using same
print engines. Epson quality gets good press but terrible on ink usage/
cost. Canon weakness appears to be text quality. More important, does
the Canon allow user-defined paper size? Non-starter if it doesn't.
I'd appreciate any comments on these two, or other choices in the <
$200 range.
Thanks for any ideas you can offer.
I have developed an aversion to any printer that does not have the
print head integrated into the cartridge. I know the Canon has this (I
have a Canon S9000). I think the Epson does too. The problem is that
for whatever reason, if you get an ink clog in the print head you have
a real problem, whereas with the integrated system (aren't most HP
printers integrated head-cartridge type) you just replace the
cartridge- much cheaper than print head cleaning.
I have to use my Canon regularly, I have to use Canon inks, and I fear
getting another expensive clog :-( I will look into the HP large
format printers when it is time for a replacement of the printer.
