As I haven't had the time to comment on all the hints, info and good advices that have appeared in this thread yet (although they have been MOST helpful), I thought I'd just drop by to thank you for mentioning Thom Hogan's ebook. After a quick browse I found this was recommended quite a few places, so I have already ordered one. Thanks a lot.
BTW, you also mention something called the digital DSLR group. I did a search on my news server for this group, but ended up with nothing. Is DSLR mentioned in the group's name?
