With the JPEG, you could equally just open it and correct the white
balance, couldn't you? Many photo editors allow this.
My editor (capture nx) has WB setting "greyed out" when I open a jpeg. It
will allow "colour balance" to be tweaked with rgb slider controls, but this
is *much* more fiddly than ajusting wb which is just a matter of selecting
the correct colour temperature.
