Yesterday, I bought a Samsung LCD Monitor (205BW) and replaced the old CRT----------------------------------------------------------------
monitor.
The native resolution of the LCD monitor is 1680 x 1050. But the maximum
resolution I can set on my computer was 1600 x 1024.
At this resolution, everything looks great except for texts. The black
color of fonts in texts is not even. They look more like a mixture of
dark and gray.
My Dell computer is operating under WinXP-SP2 Pro with Matrox Millenium
G550 video card. I wonder how I can fix this problem.
Your comment would be appreicated. Roman
Had a similar problem with a new NEC monitor. Weird native resolution, not
supported by Nvidia video card. Don't remember which, but finally got a
compatible set of drivers from either NEC, Nvidia or Sony. Imagine your
situation will be the same. Someone should be able to match the computer,
video card and monitor. You just need to find the correct source for the
driver.
