right. For those advancing on the path from amateur to pro, finding
ways to take advantage of equipment redundancy is one of several
signs that indicate probable success. But I'd think that
photographers that haven't yet had a paying gig are the ones most
likely to still be relying on a single camera body. Many of them
might also have a few P&S cameras, but they'd leave much to be
desired as backups, although in an emergency they'd have some value
as lens-change-minimizers.
I don't see how even an amateur can get by without carrying two bodies.
You can even give them names, like "Rita" and "Rich." :D
