Hi folks,
I recently discovered that I could do some rudimentary intervalometry with
my Rebel XT. Last night, I had it shoot about 340 exposures, roughly 1 per
minute, of a building. However, I had to periodically swap batteries and
CF cards, and each time I took the camera off the tripod, swapped, and put
it back on, the alignment of the images changed a bit.
I've seen image registration/frame alignment software for astronomical and
medical imaging purposes, but not for general photography. I've got a Mac
with Adobe Creative Suite, and may end up simply doing manual alignment in
Photoshop, but since that'd be very time-consuming, I'm interested in any
programs for the Mac (X11 ones are okay) that would help with alignment.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!
Use a tripod that has a quick-release; being careful when
re-installing the camera on the tripod can reduce such registration
problems to a minimum.
