Dear all,

I've some question...
I'm searching for a digital camera that has following specs
1) compact/ultra compact
2) with fixed lens and max aperture of 2.8 (no zoom)
3) LCD that can be viewed in Black and White
4) (if possible) aperture priority
5) possibility to set flash in off mode
Many thanks for your advice...

Ah looking for a digital Yashica T4. Doesn't exist, well you could use
an Epson RD1 with a Voigtlander 25mm f 2.8 and a Metz external strobe.
But that isn't too compact (though not very big as high end digital
cameras go). Where you'll have to compromise:
1) Fixed lens, just doesn't exist, marketing says folks want zooms,
that is what you get. Rule of thumb the shorter the zoom range the
better the lens (coralary(sp): the higher the camera price the better
the lens).
2) B&W LCD, marketing says folks want color that is what you get. BUT
most cameras have a B&W mode. My old Nikon 995 has a B&W mode that has
extended its life, because the high noise at ISO 400 is much less
objectionionable in B&W, think TriX in D76. I'm not at home, so I can't
remember if the LCD becomes B&W in B&W mode, I think it does.
3) Strobe, you don't get manual strobes on compact digicams, the most
you have to do is set f-stops on your manual setting, that is it. On
aperture priority the flash will be keyed to the aperture and distance,
cool eh.
